The Sky is Falling
OH! NO! The Sky Is Falling.......

I won't pontificate on this article; But I think any reasonable person will think of the enviromentalist wacko's when you read this.

How gullible are we?

A freshman at Eagle Rock High won 1st prize at the Greater Idaho Science Fair, April 26. In his project, he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical “dihydrogen monoxcide.” And for plenty of good reasons, since:

1. It can cause excessive sweating and vomiting.
2. It is a major component in acid rain.
3. It can cause severe burns in its gaseous state.
4. Accidental inhalation can kill you.
5. It contributes to erosion.
6. It decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
7. It has been found in tumors of terminal patients.

He asked fifty people if they supported a ban of the chemical. Forty three said “yes”, six were undecided, and the last one? Well, only one knew that the chemical, dihydrogen monoxide, was water (H2O)

I think all that points out is the dismal lack of science knowledge among a lot of people these days.

That and this, Jay.
As human beings we are subject to letting our fears overload our common sense.
I know I am subject to that human fraility. Try as I will, it doesn't seem to change.
Again I am trying so hard to remember, I should not worry if my countries leaders are Democrat or Republican, I simply need to remember first and foremost we are all Americans. When the Democrats regain a majority of the political power in this country...please remind me of this...
I am sure lots of people will.

When Democrats regain a majority of the political power in this country....I'll expect the same high standards from them. I love this country and demand only the best people run it; political parties be damned.
