Our government has been secretly monitoring for radioactive emissions. This should never happen, right? Anyone should be able to have radioactive materials if they want to. Yes, even if they have been found to possess handbooks on how to make a dirty (nuclear) bomb to detonate in one of our cities.



And the nerve of the government, monitoring the public areas near Mosques that are preaching “Death to America”.

I know that no Catholic or Baptist Church has people preaching Death to America, and likewise the Boy Scouts of America are not collecting radioactive materials for a bomb, but we must be sensitive to the ………..

You go ahead and be sensitive and understanding, I am glad my government is trying to win this war on terror.

Radio Address by the President to the Nation
The Roosevelt Room
10:06 A.M. EST

THE PRESIDENT: Good morning.

As President, I took an oath to defend the Constitution, and I have no greater responsibility than to protect our people, our freedom, and our way of life. On September the 11th, 2001, our freedom and way of life came under attack by brutal enemies who killed nearly 3,000 innocent Americans. We're fighting these enemies across the world. Yet in this first war of the 21st century, one of the most critical battlefronts is the home front. And since September the 11th, we've been on the offensive against the terrorists plotting within our borders.

One of the first actions we took to protect America after our nation was attacked was to ask Congress to pass the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act tore down the legal and bureaucratic wall that kept law enforcement and intelligence authorities from sharing vital information about terrorist threats. And the Patriot Act allowed federal investigators to pursue terrorists with tools they already used against other criminals. Congress passed this law with a large, bipartisan majority, including a vote of 98-1 in the United States Senate.

Since then, America's law enforcement personnel have used this critical law to prosecute terrorist operatives and supporters, and to break up terrorist cells in New York, Oregon, Virginia, California, Texas and Ohio. The Patriot Act has accomplished exactly what it was designed to do: it has protected American liberty and saved American lives.

Yet key provisions of this law are set to expire in two weeks. The terrorist threat to our country will not expire in two weeks. The terrorists want to attack America again, and inflict even greater damage than they did on September the 11th. Congress has a responsibility to ensure that law enforcement and intelligence officials have the tools they need to protect the American people.

The House of Representatives passed reauthorization of the Patriot Act. Yet a minority of senators filibustered to block the renewal of the Patriot Act when it came up for a vote yesterday. That decision is irresponsible, and it endangers the lives of our citizens. The senators who are filibustering must stop their delaying tactics, and the Senate must vote to reauthorize the Patriot Act. In the war on terror, we cannot afford to be without this law for a single moment.

To fight the war on terror, I am using authority vested in me by Congress, including the Joint Authorization for Use of Military Force, which passed overwhelmingly in the first week after September the 11th. I'm also using constitutional authority vested in me as Commander-in-Chief.

In the weeks following the terrorist attacks on our nation, I authorized the National Security Agency, consistent with U.S. law and the Constitution, to intercept the international communications of people with known links to al Qaeda and related terrorist organizations. Before we intercept these communications, the government must have information that establishes a clear link to these terrorist networks.

This is a highly classified program that is crucial to our national security. Its purpose is to detect and prevent terrorist attacks against the United States, our friends and allies. Yesterday the existence of this secret program was revealed in media reports, after being improperly provided to news organizations. As a result, our enemies have learned information they should not have, and the unauthorized disclosure of this effort damages our national security and puts our citizens at risk. Revealing classified information is illegal, alerts our enemies, and endangers our country.

As the 9/11 Commission pointed out, it was clear that terrorists inside the United States were communicating with terrorists abroad before the September the 11th attacks, and the commission criticized our nation's inability to uncover links between terrorists here at home and terrorists abroad. Two of the terrorist hijackers who flew a jet into the Pentagon, Nawaf al Hamzi and Khalid al Mihdhar, communicated while they were in the United States to other members of al Qaeda who were overseas. But we didn't know they were here, until it was too late.

The authorization I gave the National Security Agency after September the 11th helped address that problem in a way that is fully consistent with my constitutional responsibilities and authorities. The activities I have authorized make it more likely that killers like these 9/11 hijackers will be identified and located in time. And the activities conducted under this authorization have helped detect and prevent possible terrorist attacks in the United States and abroad.

The activities I authorized are reviewed approximately every 45 days. Each review is based on a fresh intelligence assessment of terrorist threats to the continuity of our government and the threat of catastrophic damage to our homeland. During each assessment, previous activities under the authorization are reviewed. The review includes approval by our nation's top legal officials, including the Attorney General and the Counsel to the President. I have reauthorized this program more than 30 times since the September the 11th attacks, and I intend to do so for as long as our nation faces a continuing threat from al Qaeda and related groups.

The NSA's activities under this authorization are thoroughly reviewed by the Justice Department and NSA's top legal officials, including NSA's general counsel and inspector general. Leaders in Congress have been briefed more than a dozen times on this authorization and the activities conducted under it. Intelligence officials involved in this activity also receive extensive training to ensure they perform their duties consistent with the letter and intent of the authorization.

This authorization is a vital tool in our war against the terrorists. It is critical to saving American lives. The American people expect me to do everything in my power under our laws and Constitution to protect them and their civil liberties. And that is exactly what I will continue to do, so long as I'm the President of the United States.

Good News Is Hard To Find

It took awhile but I found this article I had heard rumors about. The main sewer media would never publish news like this. Google returned only dead links when I searched for this article. Citizens Turn Over 'Butcher of Ramadi' to Iraqi, U.S. Troops
American Forces Press ServiceWASHINGTON, Dec. 9, 2005 – The terrorist known as "the Butcher of Ramadi" was detained today, turned in by local citizens in the provincial capital of Iraq's Anbar province, U.S. military officials in Iraq reported.

Amir Khalaf Fanus -- listed third on a "high-value individuals" list of terrorists wanted by the 28th Infantry Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team -- was wanted for criminal activities including murder and kidnapping. Ramadi citizens brought him to an Iraqi and U.S. forces military base in Ramadi, where he was taken into custody.

Fanus was well known for his crimes against the local populace. He is the highest-ranking al Qaeda in Iraq member to be turned in to Iraqi and U.S. officials by local citizens.
His capture is another indication that the local citizens tire of the terrorists' presence within their community, Multinational Force Iraq officials said, adding that Iraqi and U.S. forces have witnessed increasing signs of citizens fighting the terrorists in Ramadi as the Dec. 15 national elections draw near.

Officials said 1,200 more Iraqi soldiers recently have been posted in Ramadi. About 1,100 Iraqi special police commandos and a mechanized Iraqi army company completed their planned movement into the city. This plan has Iraqi security forces assuming more of the security responsibilities from the U.S. forces, officials said. As in other locations, as security improves, Iraqi police also will be introduced gradually.

At Aubrey's blog you will find short article's of the recent heroes, and unselfish Americans who gave up their own life, to make ours better. Here is the comment I left.This question you raise, makes me wonder why the weasels from the left won't answer questions like this. I am compiling a list of the ones who hate America, but love to live here. I will pass it on to those that will be living here after I am long gone. I will never forget how this all came down. On display in plain sight, priveledged and pampered Americans are betraying their country, commander in chief and our soldiers. What kind of support are you giving to our brave soldiers when you call them terrorists? What kind of support is it to declare those facing the enemy cannot and will not win?

I saw first hand what Kerry's lies did to our nation 35 years ago, and I will guarentee you this.It will not happen like last time. Senator J.F.K. (John Frickin' Kerry) from Massachusetts is referred to in this article as JFK....not that he is anything like the real JFK.

How one state, ((coven of communists)) came to be populated by so many unamerican liberals is beyond me.

Senator JFK in an interview that he knows will be trumpeted by Al Jeezzra, Declared that our nations warriors….young….men and women who volunteered to serve the USofA….are terrorists. Yes, in the esteemed Senator J.F.K’s opinion, the real terrorists in Iraq, are your daughter or son, you cousin or niece, or friend that wears the uniform that this scumbag is not worthy of.....the uniform with the little red, white and blue flag of the stars and stripes.
There will be many more deaths of our soldiers, because of this reckless foaming at the mouth by a sore loser and unpatriotic Senator. And yes if you look up the word patriotic in a dictionary, you will see that John Kerry is not patriotic. JFK should be in a military brig this morning, instead of his fancy digs. This is more blood on his already bloodied hands. This will give courage to the enemy, comfort and I can guarentee you it will be played over and over and over in the Middle East causing young men to want to defend their sisters. And how a Senator can say all of this without a follow up question is unbelievable.

Friends, Neighbors......this is more than reckless, and it is the start of a campaign by the liberals to once again paint our soldiers as baby killers. Kerry is sick, very sick, and he is reaching back into his sick past to again to once again lie about our military.

He says basically we should stay the course because, he says, real progress is being made. He said this is a war between 27 million Iraqis who want freedom and 10,000 terrorists. He says we're in a watershed transformation. What about that?

Sen. KERRY: Let me--I--first of all, there is so much more that unites Democrats than divides us. And Democrats have much more in common with each other than they do with George Bush's policy right now. Now Joe Lieberman, I believe, also voted for the resolution which said the president needs to make more clearwhat he's doing and set out benchmarks, and that the policy hasn't been working. We all believe him when you say, `Stay the course.' That's the president's policy, which hasn't been changing, which is a policy of failure. I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...

This is the pride and joy of the Democratic Party, caught in an LSD flashback, or maybe a Vietnam flashback, or could it be both???

Is this behaviour of a real man? (And in my mind JFK is no man, he is not brave, he is a coward, and he has a bad habit of calling my country’s defenders, baby killers, or now the latest mantra…..terrorists)How could someone hate his own Nation so much? Well I think you can figure it out, he is not an American, in my mind he gave up his citizenship when he lied back in the 1970’s about my nations wonderful warriors. But let's examine jfk’s rant….this is the same person, (again, he is no man) that said our soldiers were baby killers in 1971, and now in 2005, he says our young girls and boys in uniform, (making less than minimum wage, eating sand, and dodging bullets, and roadside bombs, all the while having to contend with the hatred spewed out at them from the American Press) he says, our soldiers are….terrorists.
This man is a danger to his state, nation, and world.
Does the world need cowards of this magnitude?
Everyone is accusing our President of lying……what is this? Do you think your next door neighbor’s 18 year old daughter, who volunteered to fight terrorism… is in fact the real terrorist??? What this whimp is saying, is that your daughter or son is as bad as the ones who hijacked and flew jetliners full of American citizens into the WTC, Pentagon, and a field in Pennslyvania. Or this scumbag is saying that your neighbors son or daughter is no better than those that saw the heads off of innocent civilians and praise allah for the opportunity to butcher the infidels...
I know you don’t think like this traitor thinks, and like me you are probably wanting God to hold our children who volunteered to save their country from terror, Hold them dear and safe in His arms. These volunteers are our finest, and JFK from Massachusetts., is a coward, who only wished he could have had enough courage back in the 1970’s, to be noticed.

Veterans Day means different things to different people. This Veterans Day, my mind returns again and again to a flight I took home from Baghdad in August -- and an unforgettable reminder of the obligation we have to all who serve the country we love. As we boarded the C-130, I looked into the cargo hold and saw a simple, aluminum coffin with a small American flag draped over it. We were bringing another American soldier home to his family and final resting place.
These brave Americans serving today deserve sound leadership and smart policies so that they can complete their missions and come home. That means a clear strategy in Iraq, shared with the American people. That means helping Iraqis economically, militarily and politically. That means Iraqis fighting for the future of Iraq. That means a phased process for bringing our troops home as benchmarks are met, including bringing home 20,000 American troops over the holidays after the first benchmark, Iraq's elections in December, is met. But on this Veterans Day, we must remember that leadership also means taking care of our troops when they return home. Tragically -- and unforgivably -- too often that doesn’t happen today.

In June, the administration was forced to acknowledge what many had warned of for months: funding for veterans healthcare was woefully inadequate. The administration sought to cover up the $1 billion shortfall by taking money away from other necessities.
Veterans deserve leadership that understands the moral obligation we have to stand for those who have stood for us. They deserve leadership committed to mandatory funding of veterans healthcare ahead of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. Most importantly, they deserve leadership with the courage to take politics out of providing for America’s veterans.
On this Veterans Day of 2005, we must demand accountability from any elected leader whose misplaced priorities leave veterans out in the cold -- and at last demand commitment equal to our veterans' sacrifice.

War is Hell

Let’s jog our memories about freedom and the wars we have fought to obtain freedom, maintain freedom and promise freedom to those after us.

If we could send them back in time, (and Lord, I'd love to send them all back)What would a reporter of today from Reuters, or the AP report about Valley Forge, in the late 1700’s?

Would Howard Dean have been able to tough it out all winter at Valley Forge, or how about Michael Moore?

If we could send some of the reporters from Newsweek Ragazine back to a battle during the March to Richmond in 1863, how would they paint our fighting men trying to extract some information from an enemy combatant? Or what about the almost daily death toll of several hundred, as our men marched under the leadership of General Grant?

How would they write about a president with a very low approval rate, who sent hundreds of thousands of men to their death? How would they write about the draft riots in New York City? How would they write about the war?

Or when we were trying to bring freedom to France, how would today’s cadre of news reporters write about the fight for freedom there. How would they report the deaths on Omaha Beach? Would they report that a milestone had been reached on the second day, when the 4,000th death occurred?
Would they seem almost giddy when the battle was going badly?

Would the MSM of WWII, glorify someone like Cindy Sheehan, who had lost a son on Omaha Beach, and could not see the whole picture, and went about dragging her son's memory through the dirt of the press?

I think it has done some good to jog our memories.
War is not good. But if we quit fighting the islamofacists, will they quit cutting the heads of off young Christian girls, just for being Christian? Be honest about it.
